The Payback American is a good choice, if you like to earn Payback loyalty points with every purchase you make worldwide (except at gas stations), online purchases included. You will receive the normal points for all Payback partner shops, and for all other shops you will earn 1 point for every 2 Euro. There is no catch: The credit card has no yearly or monthly fee and can be cancelled any time.
There are only some additional perks, like:
- an extended return policy of 90 days for any purchases from 30€ up to 300€
- travel insurances, which cover shipping of urgent prescriptions, medicine, eye glasses or contact lenses (if lost or destroyed while travelling) from your home address to your respective address abroad
- free global information services and support in case of health issues

Alternatively, have a look at the Tomorrow Bank VISA Card. It is also without monthly fees and supports Apple Pay and Google Pay in Germany. Tomorrow is the first German digital bank, which offers all its services in a sustainable way with CO2-offsets through an app. A great advantage for foreigners: The app and online banking are available in English as well!
