Someone’s carrier can be identified by the carrier code (if they didn’t move their number from one carrier to the other), which is quite useful when you only have unlimited calls/SMS into a certain network. Alternatively you can use this service.

 

  • Telekom (Congstar): 01511, 01512, 01514, 01515, 01516, 01517, 0160, 0170, 0171, 0175
  • Vodafone: 01520, 01522, 01523, 01525, 01526 (ab März 2014), 0162, 0172, 0173, 0174, 01529 (Tru)
    • Virtual Carriers (using the network of Vodafone with own infrastructure): 01521 Lycamobile
  • E-Plus / BASE: 01573, 01575, 01577, 01578, 0163, 0177, 0178
    • Virtual Carriers (using the network of O2 with own infrastructure): 01570 Telogic (service discontinued), 01579 Sipgate Wireless
  • O2: 01590, 0176, 0179

      Some third-party providers use the networks of O2, Vodafone or Telekom. So you still have the O2 network, but got your sim card from a different company.
